AI hyperscaler Nscale has raised $155 million in Series A funding to drive the expansion of its sustainable AI-ready data centers and GPU infrastructure across Europe and North America. The oversubscribed round was led by Sandton Capital Partners, with participation from Kestrel, Bluesky Asset Management, and Florence Capital.
Pioneering AI Infrastructure for Generative AI Workloads
Founded by Joshua Payne, Nscale specializes in building high-performance, environmentally sustainable data centers optimized for generative AI and machine learning workloads. By integrating advanced closed-loop liquid cooling technology, Nscale minimizes environmental impact while delivering unparalleled GPU performance.
The company has rapidly scaled operations since launching from stealth in May 2024, growing its data center pipeline from 300MW to 1.3GW. With plans to develop 120MW by 2025, Nscale is set to support large-scale superclusters for global hyperscalers, governments, and AI enterprises.
