Bindwell Raises $6M for AI Pesticide Discovery

In November 2025, San Francisco-based Bindwell raised $6 million in a Seed funding round. The round was co-led by General Catalyst and A Capital, with participation from Paul Graham, SV Angel, and Character Capital.

Founded in 2024 by teenage co-founders Tyler Rose (CEO) and Navvye Anand (both YC W25 alumni), Bindwell is building an AI platform to revolutionize the agrochemical industry by developing safer, more effective pesticides.

The company is using its own suite of AI models, including ‘Foldwell’ and ‘PLAPT’, to discover and design new pesticide molecules in-house, aiming to overcome growing pest resistance and reduce environmental impact.

The new capital will be used to expand its AI and biology research teams, scale its computational platform, and move towards licensing its first AI-discovered molecules to major agrochemical firms.
