Bavovna.AI Secures $2.7 Million in Seed Funding to Advance Autonomous Navigation Systems

CHARLESTON, November 14, 2024

Bavovna.AI, a US-based autonomous navigation systems startup with strong ties to Ukraine, has raised $2.7 million in seed-stage funding. The funding includes a $1.7 million late-seed round led by Presto Tech Horizons, with participation from Network VC, Allied VC, and angel investors. This marks the completion of the company’s seed funding phase, bolstering its mission to develop AI-powered navigation systems for uncrewed vehicles (UVs).

Revolutionizing UV Operations

Founded in 2022, Bavovna.AI specializes in dual-use technologies designed to enable UVs to operate in GPS-denied and electronic warfare (EW)-threatened environments without relying on maps or direct communication. The company’s modular systems leverage advanced AI and sensor fusion to deliver robust Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) solutions across aerial, surface, and subsurface platforms.

Bavovna’s solutions address critical challenges faced by defense and commercial UV operators, offering a platform-agnostic system adaptable to various vehicle types, including Class II aerial platforms. Its hardened core electronics and cutting-edge software ensure high-performance navigation even under hostile conditions.

Strategic Funding and Growth

The lead investor, Presto Tech Horizons, has a track record of investing in deep-tech and dual-use innovations. Partner Premysl Rubes highlighted the strategic alignment between Presto’s expertise and Bavovna’s capabilities, stating:

“This investment extends beyond capital. Presto’s network and rapid deep-tech development experience will propel Bavovna to scale and strengthen its position as a leader in autonomous systems.”

Co-founder and Chief Growth Officer Maksym Prasolov emphasized the broader impact of the partnership:

“Presto’s support enables us to expand NDAA-compliant production in North America and EMEA, enhancing existing products while exploring new opportunities in defense and commercial sectors.”

Milestones and Vision

Bavovna.AI’s progress includes graduating from the US Air Force Labs / Mass Challenge program in late 2023 and establishing a presence in both defense and commercial markets. The company’s fresh capital will accelerate production, enhance product lines, and support new development initiatives.

CEO Maksym Prasolov shared:

“Our goal is to redefine UV autonomy by delivering scalable, high-performance navigation systems that meet the demands of modern warfare and commercial applications. This funding positions us to expand globally and innovate further in AI-driven navigation.”

Future Prospects

With a growing pipeline of projects and a strong presence in critical regions, Bavovna.AI is poised to lead advancements in UV navigation, bridging the gap between cutting-edge technology and practical applications in defense and commercial markets.
