Most analytics tools are either overly complex, obtrusive, or out of date. Litlyx transforms that by combining privacy-first, cookie-free tracking with AI-powered insights, all without the hassle of setup. Founder Antonio Verdiglione explains how Litlyx is making analytics simple, ethical, and accessible to everyone, from lone entrepreneurs to major corporations.
1. What inspired the creation of Litlyx, and how has its vision evolved since its inception?
Antonio Verdiglione: We were working for a client who asked us for an analytics solution. Google Analytics was a nightmare for developers to set up, and its intrusive methods are not suitable for Europe. Existing tools like Plausible, Umami, and Matomo felt outdated when we tried them. The world needed a simple analytics solution that was modern and privacy-friendly.
So, we built a modern solution from scratch with a simple setup for both developers and non-tech-savvy users. That is Litlyx.
2. What gaps in traditional analytics platforms did Litlyx aim to address?
Antonio Verdiglione: Litlyx is a must for users who want to protect their users’ privacy and set up analytics in under 30 seconds. It aims to be the most complete, robust, yet simple analytics tool.
3. Litlyx provides cookie-free analytics. How does this feature benefit businesses in the context of GDPR and other privacy regulations?
Antonio Verdiglione: Cookie-free tracking simplifies GDPR and CCPA compliance. It reduces the need for DPOs in companies, intrusive banners that do not convert users and extensive policies. It builds trust, aligns with global privacy trends, and positions businesses ahead of future regulations.
4. Your platform offers a real-time AI-powered data analyst. How does this feature empower users?
Antonio Verdiglione: Giving our users an AI data analyst and a growth hacker on demand without requiring them to pay for an expensive professional. If you are a solo founder or an indie hacker, most of the time, you can’t afford to rely on these people. So, we’ve built this AI to fill the gap… an AI data analyst on demand that provides custom charts and reports and helps you understand your data with ease.

5. Litlyx supports custom event tracking with no additional costs. How does this differentiate your platform from competitors?
Antonio Verdiglione: Events are like actions for us. Most analytics tools track events based on their algorithms, but we give our users the power to track every action their users perform on their websites or platforms with simplicity. We offer this feature at the same level as the others because we believe analytics should be accessible and affordable for everyone.
6. Your platform is open-source and self-hostable. How does this aspect enhance transparency and user control?
Antonio Verdiglione: Giving our users the ability to see what Litlyx does is important for building transparency. I would never trust Google with my data or what they do with it. Open-source code helps companies build reliability because, as a company, you don’t want to ship bad code that people can criticize publicly. Overall, open-source products tend to be more reliable.
7. The analytics market is evolving rapidly. How does Litlyx position itself as a leader in this competitive space?
Antonio Verdiglione: It’s a competitive space filled with tech giants. We want to be the go-to choice when you need a privacy-focused analytics tool that is ethical and protects your data. In Europe, we aim to be the leader in this sector. Worldwide, we strive to be the best ethical alternative to Google Analytics.
With our AI integrations, one of the first in the market, we aim to create a more reliable data analyst. With our simplicity, we want to serve all types of users, from developers and no-code builders to marketers, solopreneurs, indie hackers, and startups.
8. Litlyx offers flexible pricing, from a free plan to enterprise solutions. How do these options cater to your audience’s diverse needs?
Antonio Verdiglione: We believe analytics is for everyone and should be democratized. Our pricing is designed to accommodate all kinds of users. We offer a plan starting at €4,99 for indie hackers who want to track their users more effectively. At the same time, we also serve large clients, including big agencies that track millions of views per month and require more advanced features and scalability. Litlyx’s pricing aims to be accessible to the widest range of users.
9. What do you enjoy most and least about your journey in developing Litlyx?
Antonio Verdiglione: The ability to bring my vision for analytics to users rewards me immensely. Even when we receive many compliments for the simplicity of our tool, it fuels me to build something truly powerful yet simple. The hardest part was the beginning of what I call the “zero to one” step… starting to market the tool organically. But overall, building a startup is a fun and fulfilling journey for me.
10. What was the biggest challenge your team faced, and how did you overcome it?
Antonio Verdiglione: We needed to create something completely transparent and GDPR-compliant, so we studied many laws in depth. It was a long and tedious process.
11. What does success mean to you, and what are your aspirations for Litlyx in the coming years?
Antonio Verdiglione: Success means changing people’s lives by providing a daily tool they can rely on whenever they need their specific metrics.
We want to be the number one ethical, AI-powered analytics tool on the market.
12. What does a typical day look like for your team at Litlyx?
Antonio Verdiglione: We start our day with a coffee or cappuccino after all, we’re Italian. Then, we work full-time from morning to night. My CTO is always working on improving the product while I handle customer support and focus on bringing Litlyx to the world.
