Zepo Raises $15M for Social Intelligence

In January 2026, the workspace security startup Zepo secured $15 million in a Seed funding round. The investment was led by Kibo Ventures, eCAPITAL, and TIN Capital.

The company is led by Co-Founder and CEO Antonio Muñoz. Zepo is pioneering a new category known as “Agentic Social Intelligence,” a security layer designed to protect employees from AI-driven social engineering, including deepfakes, voice clones, and multi-vector personalized phishing.

Traditional cybersecurity frameworks, which rely on static email filters and periodic training, have become obsolete as generative AI scales the volume and sophistication of human-centric attacks. Zepo addresses this by deploying autonomous agents that monitor cross-platform communications in real-time. Much like an AI verification layer for human interaction, the platform intervenes precisely when a message or call exhibits signs of synthetic manipulation.

The new capital will be used to scale Zepo’s engineering team and accelerate its global go-to-market strategy. By automating the detection of social engineering patterns, Zepo provides a level of workspace integrity similar to embedded defense systems in industrial hardware—securing the most vulnerable point of any network: the human user.

Market Signal

  • The “Human Perimeter” Shift: Zepo’s $15M round validates that social engineering is no longer a training issue, but a technical one. Investors are moving toward “Agentic” solutions that can outpace the speed of AI-generated deception, shifting the focus from post-event forensics to real-time intervention.
  • Multi-Vector Resilience: By monitoring voice, text, and cross-platform messages, Zepo is building a “Social Firewall.” This comprehensive observability is the front-office equivalent of AI observability for infrastructure, where every interaction is treated as a sensor for organizational health.
  • Latency as a Shield: In social engineering, the gap between a message and a transfer is the only window for defense. Zepo’s ability to provide low-latency detection—similar to the speed required by voice agent platforms—is what transforms security from a passive filter into an active deterrent.
