Techtonic’s Beit Shemesh Data Center Attains Tier IV Certification

Techtonic, a prominent data center solutions provider, has announced that the state-of-the-art data center it is constructing has received Tier IV design certification. This prestigious certification establishes Techtonic as a leader in delivering the highest levels of fault tolerance, infrastructure availability, and redundancy in the Israeli data center industry.

Techtonic’s forthcoming data center, located in the Brosh industrial zone of Beit Shemesh, will transform the data center landscape in Israel through a significant investment of hundreds of millions of Shekels. The expansive underground facility, spanning an area of 15,000 square meters, has been meticulously designed to meet the highest quality and security standards. It will feature two high-power 16MVA electricity lines, comprising a mainline and a backup. Techtonic aims to start building the facility in 2024. Techtonic has partnered with Amram Avraham, one of the leading development and construction companies in Israel, for the realization of its data center.

Tier IV certification represents the pinnacle of data center reliability, signifying the ability to maintain operations even in the face of equipment or infrastructure failures, power outages, or unforeseen circumstances. It adheres to rigorous criteria for infrastructure availability, redundancy, and security, providing organizations unparalleled reliability and uninterrupted business continuity. By achieving Tier IV certification, Techtonic’s data center will deliver a superior level of resilience and operational excellence that meets the rigorous demands of modern businesses.

Techtonic’s data center will also incorporate robust security measures to safeguard against military threats, including protection against direct hits and long-range missile strikes. The facility boasts a unique combination of redundancies aligned with the globally recognized Tier IV standard, ensuring independent and physically isolated systems for redundant capacity components and distribution paths. Furthermore, Techtonic will implement cutting-edge physical shielding measures, establishing unprecedented, never-seen-before protection for a private data center in Israel.

“This achievement reinforces Techtonic’s unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional data storage solutions to our esteemed clients, providing peace of mind and confidence in their data center infrastructure,” said Gad Benett, Founder and CEO of Techtonic. “The prestigious Tier IV certification is a resounding testament to our dedication to providing our clients the highest level of reliability and availability. With our state-of-the-art facility, organizations can confidently entrust their critical infrastructure to Techtonic, with the assurance that their operations will remain uninterrupted,” Benett added.

Techtonic was founded by Gad Benett, the CEO, along with Dan Schleider, Director of Planning; Adam Benett, Director of Marketing; and Eliel Schleider, Head of Procurement and Licensing. In June, Techtonic announced the appointment of Avi Dadon as Head of New Facility Deployment for its groundbreaking data center project. Dadon was previously the Deputy Director General and Head of the Department of Production and Procurement (DOPP) at Israel’s Ministry of Defense (MoD).
