Generative Bionics Raises €70M for Humanoid Robots

In December 2025, Italian deeptech startup Generative Bionics raised €70 million (approx. $74 million) in a Series A funding round. The round was led by CDP Venture Capital, with participation from Tether, AMD Ventures, and Eni Next.

The company was founded by CEO Daniele Pucci, along with co-founders Alessio Del Bue, Marco Maggiali, and Andrea Pagnin. Spun out from the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT), Generative Bionics focuses on “Physical AI”—integrating generative artificial intelligence into physical robotic bodies.

Unlike traditional automation, the company’s humanoid robots are designed to operate safely alongside humans in unstructured industrial environments. By leveraging large-scale generative models, these robots can understand complex physical tasks and adapt to changing workflows in manufacturing and logistics, moving beyond rigid pre-programmed behaviors.

The new capital will be used to build its first production facility in Genoa, accelerate the industrial validation of its humanoids, and expand its team of engineers and AI scientists.
