The DALL-E 3-based image capabilities that Microsoft showed off at its AI special event last month are now available in Bing Image Creator.

“We’re excited to share that DALL-E 3, the latest and most capable text-to-image model from OpenAI, is now generally available to everyone within Bing Chat and [Bing Image Creator] for free,” a new post to the Microsoft Bing Blogs explains. “The DALL-E 3 model from OpenAI delivers enhancements that improve the overall quality and detail of images, along with greater accuracy for human hands, faces, and text in images.”

DALLE-3 offers much more impressive and photographic-quality text-to-image creation capabilities when compared to its predecessor, thanks to more precise and reliable prompt capabilities that can accept more detailed requests. The results are more visually appealing and coherent, and more creative and artistic, and they can be uniquely styled in ways that were not possible before.

Bing Image Creator has also been updated with content credentials that include a digital watermark with all generated images and a content moderation system that was trained on Microsoft’s terms of service and community guidelines that remove any harmful or inappropriate images.

You can access these new DALL-E capabilities now in Bing Chat or directly in Bing Image Creator. They are free, as noted, but because of the cost of AI image creation, Microsoft can limit the speed at which they occur.
