Paris-based deep-tech startup Comand AI, which develops AI-powered tools for command and control in defense operations, has raised €8.5 million in seed funding. The round was led by Eurazeo, with participation from Frst and Expeditions Fund.

The €8.5M seed funding enables Comand AI to:
1. Scale Operations: Expand into NATO countries and strengthen European defense capabilities.
2. Recruit Talent: More than double its current team of 20, with a focus on AI specialists from OpenAI and Palantir.
3. Accelerate Development: Enhance its Prevail platform for wider adoption across allied nations.

AI for Modern Warfare
Comand AI’s Prevail uses AI to simulate battlefield scenarios, analyze operational orders, and distribute commands to human and robotic units. By leveraging open-source models, the platform ensures functionality even in denied communications environments.
