Colossyan Raises $22 Million Amid Leading Growth in AI Video Industry

Colossyan, the AI video platform for corporate training, has successfully closed a $22 million funding round. The investment follows industry-leading year-on-year growth of 600% and landing major enterprise clients including Porsche, Vodafone, and Paramount. Led by Lakestar, with participation from existing investors Launchub, Day One Capital, and Emerge Education, the funding will fuel Colossyan’s product development.

“The success we’ve achieved at Colossyan has come from listening to and quickly acting on insights we receive from leaders in corporate training, sales enablement, and customer education,” said Dominik Kovacs, CEO and Founder of Colossyan. “Their valuable feedback has led to the unique features that distinguish our product from competitors. This includes our leading Scenario-Based Training support, enhanced Learning Management System (LMS) integration, and best-inclass auto-translation. We’ve clearly understood the message from our customers who want us to concentrate on developing tools to make content more interactive. This enables companies to create experiences that move beyond ‘flat’ video formats.”

Colossyan simplifies video creation using AI. Users input their script, select from a diverse range of avatars, or create their own, and then generate their video without conventional filming resources such as cameras, studios, or actors. Creators have the option to translate their videos into over 70 languages. Customers report a significant reduction in cost and production time, typically around 70-80%. As noted by Kristin Broadhead, the Director of Learning & Development at Sonesta: “The ease of content update and cost savings are remarkable.”

While seeing success in advertising, sales outreach, and corporate communications, Colossyan remains focused on being the top choice for training. This goal entails helping new employees onboard and be compliant more efficiently, enabling sales teams to reach their goals faster and achieving higher product adoption from customers. Colossyan’s roadmap includes new features to boost engagement and learning outcomes, including video branching, knowledge checks, and more advanced control over AI avatars.

Akis Bratsos, Partner at Lakestar, has remarked on Colossyan’s distinct qualities: “Colossyan distinguishes itself through rapid execution, a customer-centric approach, and cutting-edge technology. This effective combination has led to significant Returns On Investment (ROI) for their clients, ranging from multinational corporations to individual creators. The impressive ROI they have delivered to their customers is a key driver of their remarkable growth. I am genuinely excited about collaborating with Colossyan in their continued expansion.”

Colossyan is hiring across all functions and tripling its headcount in New York, London, and Budapest.
