Kula Launches Ultimate AI Recruitment Platform, Trusted by Vercel

Kula, a San Francisco-based startup, has become an AI-powered, one-stop-shop for recruiters that solves a host of problems, from sourcing, to applicant tracking and screening, analytics, and more.

Founded in 2021, Kula has transformed from a candidate sourcing tool into a full-fledged recruiting solution that leverages advanced AI capabilities. It was quickly adopted by a number of companies, including Temporal, Gifthead, HighRadius, Bubble, Praxent and Vercel.

The new platform integrates multiple facets of the recruiting process, including AI-driven sourcing, screening, and scheduling. It features an advanced CRM system with integrations to over 100 job boards, a unique Chrome extension for outreach on LinkedIn and GitHub, and a code-free career site builder. Notably, Kula also offers a conversational analytics dashboard, providing recruiters with real-time insights into their hiring process.

Kula’s launch comes at a pivotal time for the recruiting industry, with 62% of recruiters expressing optimism about AI’s impact on their field. The platform aims to address long-standing issues in recruiting, such as outdated tools and fragmented workflows that have historically slowed down hiring processes.

CEO and co-founder Achuthanand Ravi, a veteran recruiter with experience at Freshworks, Uber, and Stripe, envisions AI as a means to expand talent discovery beyond current human limitations. “We strongly believe that AI can be leveraged to curate accurate and up-to-date candidate profiles, enable efficient search, and provide proactive candidate recommendations based on specific business needs,” Ravi stated.

Kula distinguishes itself in the market as the only major hiring platform built after the recent AI boom by a team with deep recruiting experience. This unique positioning could give them an edge in the competitive HR tech space. The startup plans to further enhance its AI integration, focusing on use cases such as candidate rediscovery, assessments, and forecasting.

Looking ahead, Kula has set its sights on geographic expansion, particularly into the European market. The startup also plans to develop region-specific product capabilities and support for compliance.

“Kula is well-positioned to deliver a market-leading product due to the background of their leadership team as well as their track record of bringing innovative products to the market,” commented Piruze Sabuncu, Partner at Square Peg Capital.

While Kula’s current core market focus has been North America and the Asia-Pacific region, further expansion is on the cards.

“We plan on expanding to other geographies, including Europe, and build region specific product capabilities and support for compliance,” added Ravi.
