Tryp.com Raises €1.9M to Expand AI Travel Platform

Tryp.com raised €1.9M Seed funding led by Point Capital Partners to expand its AI-native online travel agency globally.

André Rangel de Sousa, Co-founder and CEO of Tryp.com.

The big picture: Tryp.com, an AI-native online travel agency, has raised €1.9 million in funding in a round led by Point Capital Partners. Iberis Capital and angel investors also participated. The Copenhagen-headquartered company’s total funding now stands at €5.9 million.

Why it matters:

  • AI-driven travel: Tryp.com’s platform builds complete multimodal trips (flights, trains, buses, ferries, stays, and transfers) from a budget and time window, leveraging AI to track over 80 million fares and 28 million stays, offering routes no single carrier provides.
  • Rapid growth: The company has surpassed 10 million users since launch, now reaching around 1 million users monthly. Sales have grown roughly fourfold annually on average since 2022, with September 2026 sales exceeding €1.2 million.
  • Strategic partnerships: Tryp.com’s technology powers WIZZ Holidays, Wizz Air’s AI package holiday platform launched in July 2026, demonstrating its capability to scale and integrate with major travel brands.

How it works:

  • Personalized discovery: Instead of a traditional search box, Tryp.com uses a personalized ‘For you’ feed, built from click-stream data and collaborative filtering, with half of its bookings coming from direct recommendations.
  • Multimodal booking engine: The platform stitches together various travel components into a single booking, utilizing virtual interlining across over 7,000 locations to create unique itineraries.
  • AI-powered support: An AI assistant named Sandra provides 24/7 customer support alongside a dedicated service team, enhancing user experience and operational efficiency.

The catch: The online travel agency market is highly competitive, dominated by established players with significant brand recognition and marketing budgets. While Tryp.com’s AI-native approach offers differentiation, sustaining rapid growth and expanding into new continents will require substantial capital and effective localization strategies against entrenched incumbents.
