Dalfilo Closes €2M to Scale AI Integration

Dalfilo closed a €2M Equity Round, with 035 Investimenti among investors, to expand internationally and integrate AI into business processes.

Davide Trabucchi and Matteo Bertasa, Co-founders of Dalfilo.

The big picture: Dalfilo, an Italian direct-to-consumer brand specializing in high-quality home textiles, has completed a €2 million capital increase. The funds will fuel new product development, international expansion, retail network growth, and significant integration of artificial intelligence into business processes.

Why it matters:

  • Omnichannel Growth: Dalfilo has evolved from a digital startup into an omnichannel business, selling over 500,000 products to more than 150,000 customers, demonstrating a successful blend of e-commerce and physical retail.
  • Financial Stability: The company achieved positive EBITDA in 2025 and recorded a 20% increase in turnover in 2026, laying a solid foundation for sustained growth and financial sustainability.
  • Strategic AI Integration: A portion of the new capital is specifically allocated to embed AI across operations, from performance analysis and content management to customer service and supply chain planning, aiming for faster, more informed decisions and lean scalability.

How it works:

  • Direct-to-Consumer Model: Dalfilo maintains a direct relationship with its customer base, enabling efficient data collection, feedback integration, and swift responses to market demand shifts.
  • Italian Production Chain: The brand leverages an entirely Italian production chain, collaborating with a network of Oeko-Tex-certified artisans and manufacturers in the historic Val Gandino textile district, ensuring quality and authenticity.
  • Retail Network Expansion: Following successful flagship store openings in Milan in 2024 and 2026, Dalfilo plans further retail expansion, with a third store in 2027 and a gradual rollout to four or five stores in key target markets.

The catch: The home textiles and lifestyle market is highly competitive, particularly for ‘Made in Italy’ brands. Dalfilo’s ambitious expansion into new product categories like children’s wear, sportswear, and loungewear, alongside aggressive internationalization plans into Spain, the UK, France, and potentially the US, will introduce significant operational complexity and heightened competitive pressure. Successfully integrating AI across these expanding operations while maintaining the brand’s core commitment to quality and authenticity will be a critical challenge.
