Mindoo Raises €5M for Clinical AI Workforce

In December 2025, the Belgian healthcare AI startup Mindoo raised €5 million in a Seed funding round. The investment was led by 6 Degrees Capital (6DC), with participation from Syndicate One and strategic angel investors.

The company is led by CEO Gauthier Willemse and CTO Bart Lens. Mindoo is building what it calls a “Scalable AI Workforce” to relieve the pressure on overwhelmed hospital staff.

Healthcare workflows are notoriously rigid and complex, making standard “off-the-shelf” software difficult to adopt. Mindoo addresses this by offering a configurable layer of AI agents that can be tailored to fit into existing hospital processes—handling patient intake, scribing consultations, and managing follow-ups. Instead of forcing doctors to change how they work, Mindoo’s agents adapt to the hospital’s specific protocols, acting as autonomous team members that handle the administrative heavy lifting while remaining safe, governed, and predictable.

The new capital will be used to bring its four core agent types to full production maturity and expand its deployment across European healthcare institutions.

Market Signal

  • From “Tools” to “Workforce”: This round validates the shift in HealthTech from selling “Productivity Tools” (software you use) to selling “Digital Labor” (agents that do the work). Mindoo explicitly positions its agents as a “Workforce,” targeting the OpEx budget for staffing rather than just IT software budgets.
  • The “Configurability” Moat: Most AI health startups fail because they try to force a standardized “Silicon Valley” workflow onto legacy hospitals. Mindoo’s “Configurable Agent” strategy acknowledges that every hospital is different, making it easier to penetrate the conservative European healthcare market.
  • Operational AI > Clinical AI: While AI for drug discovery gets the headlines, the immediate ROI for hospitals is in Operational Efficiency (Patient Access/Intake). Mindoo focuses on these unglamorous but critical bottlenecks where “burnout” is the primary driver for adoption.
