London-based AI startup Arondite has secured $10 million in Seed funding to advance its platform that integrates autonomous systems for defense and critical infrastructure operations. The round was led by Index Ventures, following a previously undisclosed $2.25 million pre-Seed round co-led by Concept Ventures and Creator Fund.
Founded by Will Blyth (CEO) and Rob Underhill (CTO), Arondite addresses the challenge of fragmented autonomous systems—such as drones, robots, and sensors—that often operate in silos, limiting operational effectiveness. Their platform acts as a “connective tissue,” enabling human operators to oversee and control diverse systems through a unified interface, enhancing situational awareness and decision-making.
Blyth, a former British Army officer with experience at Palantir and Helsing, and Underhill, who previously led engineering teams at BAE Systems and was the founding engineer at Garrison Technology, bring a unique combination of military and technical expertise to Arondite.
The funding will support the expansion of Arondite’s engineering team and accelerate product development, with plans to scale deployments across Europe. The company’s technology has practical applications in scenarios like minefield clearance and counter-intrusion efforts, where coordinated deployment of autonomous systems can improve safety and efficiency.
