1. What inspired you to create Paintit.ai, and how does the platform address unique challenges in interior design and virtual staging?
Yulii Cherevko: The idea for Paintit.ai came to me while I was running my interior design studio. Many friends and acquaintances would approach me for help with setting up their homes. However, a full-service professional design was often too expensive for them. I realized that most people only needed high-quality visualizations and furniture specifications tailored to their budget.
This sparked the idea of making interior design services accessible to everyone. We are constantly refining our concept, testing new hypotheses, and leveraging AI to make the process faster and more efficient. In the future, we plan to make interior generation free for users to attract a broader audience.

Yulii Cherevko: This is a core focus for us, especially as we develop a new product that will deeply personalize the user experience. Our goal is to tailor designs to individual habits, preferences, and even lifestyles, creating a unique solution for every user.

Yulii Cherevko: We aim to address all user needs related to home setup — from creating ideas to purchasing the selected furniture — all in just a few clicks.

5. What role does AI play in enabling Paintit.ai to deliver high-quality and efficient interior design solutions?
Yulii Cherevko: We don’t develop our own AI from scratch; instead, we utilize various APIs available on the market and fine-tune them, aiming to adapt the technology based on user interactions with our platform. The more you interact with Paintit.ai, the better we understand your preferences: your favorite styles, budget expectations, and more. For example, if a user consistently shows interest in premium interiors, we’re unlikely to suggest IKEA furniture and vice versa.
6. Paintit.ai supports a wide range of design styles and room types. How do you curate and update these options to stay relevant to trends?
Yulii Cherevko: In fact, we’re planning to move away from rigid style classifications. Most users are only familiar with three to four popular styles and find it easier to decide if they like or dislike a suggested design. Our goal is to make the process more intuitive and user-friendly.
7. Data privacy and user trust are vital in AI-driven solutions. How does Paintit.ai address these concerns while delivering top-tier service?
Yulii Cherevko: If a registered user prefers not to share their images with others, they will remain private. All other user data is securely protected, and we adhere to high standards of data security and privacy.
8. Can you share a success story or case study that showcases Paintit.ai’s impact on a client’s project?
Yulii Cherevko: We regularly conduct interviews with our users to better understand what they like and dislike. Some success stories are truly inspiring, especially when grateful clients share how we’ve helped them create their dream spaces.

9. What have been the biggest challenges in scaling Paintit.ai, and how did you overcome them?
Yulii Cherevko: During the first week after launching our website, we had around 5,000 users actively generating visualizations. We were shocked because we hadn’t spent a single penny on marketing. This confirmed that we were in the right place, addressing customer pain points with the capabilities of generative AI. Currently, we are focused on refining the product and testing hypotheses before entering the global market.
10. What personal sacrifices or difficult decisions have you made as founders, and how have they influenced Paintit.ai’s journey?
Yulii Cherevko: Our team has a healthy sense of competition and a shared vision for the product. Creating a solution that genuinely helps people and meets their needs has become our top priority and a personal challenge for each of us.
11. What does success look like for you and Paintit.ai in the next 3–5 years?
Yulii Cherevko: Right now, we are testing various hypotheses and don’t have immediate plans to enter the global market. However, in the future, we aim to become an international product, achieve product-market fit, and secure a significant share of the market.
12. What does a typical day in your life as a founder look like, and how do you stay motivated?
Yulii Cherevko: Our team consists of three founders, and we are all deeply engaged in the process. Making a call to one of the team members at 1 a.m. to discuss an idea is entirely normal for us. We are passionate about what we do, and our days are filled with excitement and the joy of seeing how the things we constantly talk about are gradually becoming a reality.
